Hello and welcome to my website here you will find info on my sand rail and the progress of the rail though the time I have had it. When I brought it home it was not a bad buggy just needed a little tlc. it was powered by a stock 1500 single port type one vw engine with a 3 rib bus trans, and IRS rear suspension. the front was a pre 65 linkpin and the whole buggy was painted army green, and I mean everything was green. I drove it as it was for a year then decided to repaint it. started to paint it gray but did not like how it was turning out so before it was even done I decided to repaint it Plum purple. While it was stripped down I decided to make a few modifications and improvements. the next year the engine went south so I thought it was time for more power, so I built a 1915cc dual port. And last year i decided to upgrade the kadron carbs, and while they were at the carb shop I thought it would be a good idea to redo the engine trans mounts so the drive train was level and also to help realign the shifter as I was having some difficulty shifting because of the extreme angle of the trans and shifter. Ok so you want to see my sand rail. well here are all the pics I have taken since I bought it. from modifications and such; to just weekend rides.
